Wh. Cheng et al., Investigation of the relationship between the consistence and microstructure of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets, ACT PHY C E, 50(11), 2001, pp. 2226-2229
One of the most important factors that lower the consistence is the appeara
nce of regions where the technological parameters deviate from the points w
here the sensors are located. In this paper this was investigated on the ba
sis of the relationship between the intrinsic coercivity and the microstruc
ture parameters of sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets. It is found that the magnet wi
th a fairly good microstructure will have higher consistence than the magne
t with a relatively poor microstructure under the same technological condit
ions. This indicates that the more effective approach to enhance the consis
tence of a magnet is to optimize its microstructure other than to rigorousl
y enforce the technological conditions. The results obtained show some dire
ctive for improving the consistence of the magnetic properties of sintered
Nd-Fe-B magnets.
