On the basis of the well-known method for measuring the local permeabi
lity of porous permeable materials (PPM) using a metal tube with an el
astic tip, a new method is suggested for both point and fragmental mea
surements at a cylindrical working surface with direct determination o
f the coordinates of the test area. Both gas and liquid may serve the
working medium. The equipment provides high productivity with accurate
determination of the permeability of PPM over a wide range of chemica
l composition and sizes.
