Abstract
Several plasma cells morphological changes have been described in monoclona l gammopathies, including intracytoplasmic crystals. We report one case of indolent kappa -chain multiple myeloma with renal insufficiency, featuring plasma cells with Auer-rod-like intracytoplasmic inclusions. The relationsh ip between such aberrations and those found in multiple-myeloma-associated adult Fanconi syndrome is discussed. The significance of intracellular stor age and crystallisation of immunoglobulin within plasma cells remains parti ally unknown.
