Abstract
In the present study, the iodine concentrations of drinking water samples c ollected from various locations at Kayseri City-Turkey were determined by i odine-starch method spectrophotometrically. The iodine contents of the samp les were found in the range of 10.86-85.40 mug/l (lowest in Erciyes Univers ity, highest in Suksun Station). The results show that the Kayseri and surr oundings suffer moderate iodine deficiency.
