Abstract
This paper reports a novel technique for the synthesis Of MoO3 through the reduction of ammonium molybdate using hydroxylamine hydrochloride as a redu ctant. MoO3 is formed upon thermal decomposition of the reduced ammonium mo lybdate. The progress of the formation of the oxide is understood on the ba sis of structure and thermal studies.
