Abstract
A combined gyroresonance-Cerenkov interaction of a helical electron flow wi th the dominant rotating HE11 mode of a circular corrugated waveguide is st udied. It is demonstrated that the efficiency of traveling-wave tubes can b e increased to more than 60% by extracting both transverse and longitudinal energy of the electron flow.
