Abstract
A series of platinum(II) terpyridyl acetylide complexes, [Pt(trpy)(C drop C R)]PF6 (R = C6H5, C6H4Cl-4, C6H4CH3-4, C6H4OCH3-4, C6H4NO2-4, benzo-15-crow n-5, C6H3-(OCH3)(2)-3,4), have been synthesized and characterized. Their lu minescence and electrochemical behaviors have been studied. The ion-binding properties of [Pt(trpy)(C dropC-benzo-15-crown-5)]PF6 and the X-ray crysta l structure of [Pt(trpy)(C drop CC6H5)]PF6 are also reported.
