Abstract
1,5-Bis(4,4'-bis(perfluorooctyl)phenyl)-1,4-pentadien-3-one stabilizes pall adium(0) nanoparticles (transmission electron microscopy) formed in the red uction of palladium dichloride with methanol. These palladium colloids are soluble in-perfluorinated solvents, and they are efficient recoverable cata lysts for Suzuki cross-couplings and Heck reactions under fluorous biphasic conditions.
