Abstract
In this paper we prove some Novikov-type inequalities for vector fields wit
h non-isolated zero points, which generalize some results of Shubin, 1996.
As a consequence, we obtain an analytic proof of Hopf index theorem for vec
tor fields which are nondegenerate in the sense of Bott.
