Abstract
Measurements of the linear thermal expansion DeltaI/I and molar heat capaci ty C-p at constant pressure are presented on antiferromagnetic CaMnO3 and f erromagnetic SrRuO3 in the neighborhood of their magnetic phase transitions . The jumps in the linear thermal-expansion coefficient alpha and C-p are u sed to calculate the influence of pressure on the magnetic ordering tempera tures T-c through the Ehrenfest relation. Good agreement is obtained with m easured values of dT(c)/dP.
