Abstract
The present review describes some of our recent applications of tricarbonyl irondiene chemistry to organic synthesis. It focuses on the selective synth esis of tricarbonylirondiene complexes including the asymmetric catalytic c omplexation of prochiral cyclohexa-1,3-dienes, the enantioselective synthes is of carbazole-3,4-quinone alkaloids, and the iron-mediated synthesis of c orannulene and yohimbane alkaloids.
