Abstract
The ethylenediaminetetraacetato complex of Bi(III) of composition CsBiEdta . H2O was synthesized for the first time, and its crystal structure was det ermined. It contains two crystallographically independent Cs' cations occup ying positions with the occupancy factor of 0.5, polymeric chain complex an ions [Bi(Edta)](n)(n-), and molecules of crystallization water. The coordin ation number of the Bi atom is 8.
