Abstract
Electron-rich arenes undergo electrophilic amination with diethyl azodicarb oxylate on the surface of silica gel impregnated with indium trichloride in solvent-free conditions to afford parasubstituted aryl hydrazides. Improve d yields and enhanced rates are obtained by employing microwave irradiation .
