Abstract
The synthesis of nitro derivatives of 13-calix[4]arene bis-crown-6 is repor ted. The X-ray structure of one of them is given. The complexation of cesiu m cation is presented and shows the rote of the nitro groups for the comple xation to occur. (C) 2001 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
