Abstract
The complex formation of Zn2+, Pb2+ and Hg2+ with polyacrylic acid (PA A) and polymethacrylic acid (PMA) is studied by different polarographi c techniques and differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPAS V) on mercury drop and glassy carbon rotating disc electrodes (rde). T he formation constants K of the systems were calculated at different c ounterion concentrations and charges, the linear relationships between log K and log a (a = counterion activity) was obtained. The formation constants calculated for the rde experiments are compared with the re sults obtained on the hanging mercury drop electrode (hmde) in DPASV m ode. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
