Adsorbed and spread charged diblock copolymer layers are studied at flexibl
e interfaces. In both cases, equilibrium situations can be reached and the
structure and fluctuations in height of the interface are examined by diffe
rent experimental means. In particular, buckled deformations of the air-wat
er interface are evidenced by optical and X-ray scattering techniques. Prel
iminary results at the oil-water interface with similar copolymers are disc
ussed. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
