Abstract
Structural mapping in this area in Bankura district of West Bengal rev eals coaxial easterly/ westerly plunging early isoclinal F-1 folds and later upright F-2 folds giving rise to hook-shaped interference patte rns. Later slip and shearing along the F-2 axial plane cause considera ble bending of early linear structures in both mesoscopic and macrosco pic scales. All rock types including anorthosite, granite gneiss and c omposite gneiss are affected by multiple deformation plan.
