Abstract
We have Calculated evolutionary tracks for stars with high abundances of he avy elements. Ali abundance increase from the solar level (similar to 0.02) to 0.1 (for DeltaY/DeltaZ = 0-2.4), which corresponds to the central regio ns of the disk components of giant galaxies, shifts the main sequence towar ds lower effective temperatures, however, it does not appreciably affect ei ther the luminosity of the stars or their lifetime oil the main sequence. I ncreasing the heavy-element abundance to 0.2 for DeltaY/DeltaZ = 2.4 Shifts thc main sequence towards higher effective temperatures, appreciably incre ases the luminosity of the stars, and substantially accelerates their evolu tion.
