Abstract
Cabrera R., L. (Department of Biological Sciences, Western Illinois Univers ity, Macomb, IL 61455-1390, U.S.A.). Six new species of Acourtia (Astcracea e) and a historical account of Acourtia mexicana. Brittonia 53: 416-429. 20 01.-Six Mexican species of Acourtia are described. One of these novelties s eems to be related to Acourtia mexicana (Lag. ex D. Don) H. Rob., whose nom enclature has been misunderstood for decades; an exhaustive literature revi ew and examination of herbarium material supports Robinson's combination.
