Abstract
Ambulatory surgery is a concept of organization, organization centered on t he patient. It is an innovation whose development depends on policies of ac companiment that are devoted to it. As for all innovation the patients or t he society can't profit of its benefits if its conditions are not respected . Recognized international definitions all insist on its qualified characte r and on its substitution effect.
