Abstract
Picosecond time-resolved resonance Raman (TR3) spectroscopy was applied to investigate the photoinduced electron transfer in dyades employing phenothi azine as electron donor and pyrene as electron acceptor. Because the vibrat ional spectra of the pyrene excited state and the pyrene radical anion exhi bit pronounced differences, the occurrence of photoinduced electron transfe r can be proven beyond doubt for those derivatives, for which estimates yie ld DeltaG(et) < 0.
