Abstract
The title compound crystallizes in monoclinic system with space group P2(1) /n. The cell parameters are a = 12.3824(3) Angstrom, b = 8.9255(1) Angstrom , c = 19.9188(4) Angstrom, V = 2181.75(7) Angstrom (3), alpha = gamma = 90. 0 degrees and beta = 97.663(1)degrees. The structure has an indole moiety a nd an imidazolidine ring connected together. The phenyl sulfonyl group is a ttached to the indole moiety and the dichlorophenyl ring to the imidazolidi ne ring. The structure has a C-H...Cl intra molecular hydrogen bond and C-H ...pi type intermolecular interactions.
