Abstract
Combined with the probabilistic safety assessment method and based on reliability theory and parameter sensitivity analysis, the margin of r eliability degree is defined and a method of determining partial safet y factors is presented. The effect and rationality of the partial safe ty factors of different methods dealing with the residual stresses are analyzed in detail. Finally, the method and the results are compared with those used in PD 6493: 1991. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
