This round table discussion addressed the utility of insulin-like growth fa ctor I (IGF-I) as a predictor of growth hormone (GH) action, the relationsh ip between IGF-I response to GH and growth response, the possibility of a s pectrum of both GH sensitivity and IGF-I sensitivity, and an examination of the possible need to acknowledge indicators of GH action in children which are distinct from those in adults.
