Abstract
Chiral oxazolidinones (Evans' chiral auxiliaries) have been utilized a s auxiliaries for a wide range of asymmetric transformations. The meth odology has been highly successful in the stereoselective construction of a number of natural products, antibiotics, and other medicinally i mportant compounds. The present review is focused on the utility of ox azolidinones in synthesis.
