Abstract
The scheme of using linearly chirped fiber gratings to equalize dispersion which would produce nonlinear distortion in long trunk lines lightwave CATV systems has been put forward, The results of the numerical computations sh ow that the CSO is significantly reduced when the grating parameters have b een properly designed, and the optical transmission distance can been prolo nged effectively.
