The paper is concerned with the construction of a theoretical model for cal
culating the hydrodynamic damper with the end seal, with annular groove and
lubricant feed through holes. We consider the damper of finite length and
construct the theoretical model using the Reynolds equation. We solve the e
quation with the corresponding boundary conditions by the simple iteration
method and determine the forces acting on the film side on the damper vibra
tor. We developed the program for calculating hydrodynamic dampers.
