In this paper we study the asymptotics for the condensate multivortex solut
ions in the self-dual Chern-Simons CP(1) model. When the breaking parameter
s belongs to (-1/2, 1/2), we show that for any sequence of multivortex sol
utions which lies between suitable super- and subsolutions with respect to
the Chern-Simons coupling constant kappa, we can find a subsequence which c
onverges to a constant depending only on s as kappa goes to zero. Also we i
nvestigate the locally uniform convergence speed. (C) 2001 American Institu
