Bessel-like beam and axial optical gratings

This paper discusses the possibility of creating a Bessel-like beam by diff racting interfering spherical waves at a circular aperture. Analytic soluti ons are obtained in the far field, forming a periodic toroidal structure. T he resulting solutions are of interest for creating axial dipole optical gr atings.
