Abstract
An automated in-line microfiltration system coupled to an HPLC was develope d for the determination of solubility. Filtrations and subsequent solubilit y determinations are performed using a standard Gilson dilutor and autosamp ler and dual Rheodyne((R)) valves equipped with a filtration assembly and c onfigured to an HPLC system. The solubility data obtained using the automat ed in-line microfiltration system are in good agreement with the results ob tained using conventional manual preparation techniques. Automating this la bor-intensive and often variable portion of the solubility determination pr ovides a reliable means of improving both the consistency and quality of so lubility data.
