We consider by numerically integrating the time-dependent Schrodinger equat
ion the scattering of electrons by a one-dimensional potential well in the
presence of a bichromatic laser field of frequencies omega and 2 omega or o
mega and 3 omega and we investigate the transmitted and reflected scatterin
g probabilities as a function of the relative phase phi between the two rad
iation field components. We also compare the results of this analysis with
the probabilities obtained in earlier work in which the scattering problem
was treated analytically, receiving in this way a deeper insight into this
process.
