Abstract
A predictable stereoselective method for the synthesis of enantiopure anti, anti-1,2,3-triols through the addition of organometallic reagents to the ax ially disposed aldehyde derived from (R',R',S,R)-2,3-butane diacetal protec ted butanetetraol is described.
