Abstract
Substrates containing aromatic rings have been attached to 'polymer support ed triphenylphosphine' using a chromium carbonyl linker, chemically manipul ated, and released from the polymer to demonstrate the potential use of pi -bound ligands in linker chemistry. Immobilisation of the phenylalanine der ivative Fmoc-Phe-OtBu via its aromatic ring has been achieved and the resul ting resin successfully subjected to standard amino acid deprotection and c oupling procedures.
