An extension of the numerical model MISCAM to account for effects of vegeta
tion is presented. Computed wind and turbulence profiles agree reasonably w
ith wind tunnel data. Furthermore, the extended model yields plausible resu
lts for flow fields and pollutant distributions in an idealized street cany
on with and without vegetation. While wind speed is reduced within the vege
tated street canyon, a slight increase of pollutant concentrations is found
