We report the investigations of specific heat, thermal conductivity and the
rmoelectric power on the intermetallic Lu5Rh4Si10 at temperatures above the
superconducting transition T-c similar to 3.9 K. All measured results cons
istently show anomalous peaks at its charge density wave (CDW) transition T
-p similar to 147 K. The observed peaks in the specific heat and thermal co
nductivity are significantly large, in contrast to conventional CDW systems
. It suggests that possibly strong interchain interactions manifest the CDW
transition in this material. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights res
