The analogy between the Casimir force acting on two parallel plates in vacu
um and a similar force, which is of classical nature, acting on two paralle
l plates immersed in a turbulent plasma is explored. Like in the vacuum cas
e, the force is attractive in a plasma, but its magnitude depends now on th
e energy level of the turbulent fluctuations as well as on the type of turb
ulence. The Casimir interaction between two nearby dust grains is also exam
