Abstract
Social anxiety disorder (SAD) is a highly prevalent, disabling, and costly disorder that unfortunately remains underdiagnosed in primary care settings . We aimed to develop a pharmacotherapy algorithm that addressed the treatm ent of SAD, and that was user-friendly for the primary care practitioner. T he algorithm attempts to summarize the recent literature in this area succi nctly and to include the views of an international panel of experts with di verse experience.
