Abstract
The temperature dependence of the Gibbs energy of formation of BaNd2O4 from simple oxides was determined by the electromotive force method with a fluo rine-ion electrolyte in the temperature range 1040-1170 K. The compound exh ibited no noticeable oxygen nonstoichiometry at O-2 partial pressures of 1- 10(-5) atm.
