Abstract
Implementation of the Bergstrom work-hardening model into an FEM code enabl ed simulating the deformation behaviour during intercritical deformation of a low-carbon steel. The simulations revealed that the conventional mixture rule overestimates the FE predictions as well as actual measurements. Slip lines under 45 degrees are predicted once the microstructure is inhomogene ous. (C) 2001 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd. All r ights reserved.
