The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of regional boundary stra
tegic actuators for parabolic systems. Then we give characterization of suc
h actuators in order that regional boundary controllability can be achieved
. The obtained results are applied to a two-dimensional system and various
cases of actuators are considered. We also develop numerical example that l
eads to some conjectures related to the best actuator location for a given
