Abstract
alpha -Zirconium phosphate (alpha -ZrP) has been prepared in various transi tion metal containing forms, and their structure (identified by XRD), therm al behaviour and specific surface area were determined and their electrical resistivity was measured. On the basis of experimental data, the monoclini c cell parameters for Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) containing crystal line zirconium phosphates were calculated. They showed characteristic therm al decomposition and have different higher specific conductivity than a-zir conium phosphate. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
