Abstract
The events of the birth and annihilation of optical vortices in topological ly neutral nonparaxial combined mode beams (topological dipoles) were studi ed. It is shown that there exists an extended domain of parameters of the e lementary beams, for which the optical vortices of the dipole annihilate ne ar the focal plane, thus restoring a wave field free of the wavefront dislo cations.
