Abstract
A novel method for solid-phase synthesis of dihydroquinazoline derivatives is presented. Polymer-bound 4-bromomethyl-3-nitrobenzoate and the correspon ding amide are utilized as versatile precursors that undergo nucleophilic d isplacement with amines followed by reduction and cyclocondensation reactio ns to afford structurally diverse dihydroquinazolines with excellent yield and purity.
