Abstract
Many wonder what the third wave of feminism will bring ashore as young femi nists begin taking their place in various aspects of professional psycholog y. We begin by examining how the developmental context of young feminists c an prevent us from bringing the riches of previous generations into our own work. We also examine how our context allows us to make unique contributio ns in feminism. We will discuss our attempts to claim a notion of power tha t is neither hierarchical nor egalitarian, but relational. Finally, we will end by considering the implications of relational power for the third wave and feminist psychology.
