Nordstemmen-based Union-Zucker Sudhannover is starting up a new screening,
packaging and shipping centre in the 2001 campaign. The new screening and s
hipping plant was integrated with new and existing information technology s
ystems. Sugar shipments will take place under data-processing-based product
formulation management supplying the quality parameters in accordance with
customer requirements or contract specifications. The newly installed prod
uct formulation management can be operated in three ways: fully automatic,
semi-automatic, or manually. Automatic product formulation management meets
the demanding customer requirements and allows optimal exploitation of adv
antages.
