Synthesis of 1,3-bis(aryloxy acetyl)-1,3,2-diazaphospholidine-2-sulfide(selenide) derivatives and study of their herbicidal activity

A series of new five-membered phosphorus heterocycles were synthesized by c yclizing reaction of P(NEt2)(3) with substrates containing diamino groups. The products were characterized by elemental analysis and spectrascopy. The preliminary bioassays showed that some compounds possessed a good selectiv e herbicidal activity. In addition for the first time, the rearrangement of P=Se to P-Se in such phosphorus heterocycle was found, and the structure o f the product together with intermolecular hydrogen bonds was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.
