Abstract
The mass transfer kinetics and alloying elements distribution in a coa ting layer on the titanium alloy VT6 were investigated, as well as the properties of the layer after electrospark alloying with tungsten-fi ee electrodes based on the refractory compounds of titanium and zircon ium nitride. It was shown that the microhardness of the alloyed laver is 3-5 times, and of the heat affected one 1.5-2.0 times greater than that of the initial material. The resistance of the coated samples to high-temperature oxidation as also substantially higher.
