APREFIS 1.0: a computer program for learning physics

The authors have developed a computer package in Spanish for university stu dents to help them learn physics; it is called APREFIS 1.0 and may be used with Windows 9X/2000/NT. The program helps students learn with case, to pra ctise the acquired knowledge and to evaluate themselves in the following to pics: vector algebra, electrostatic fields, electromagnetic fields, direct and alternating, current circuits, waves and an introduction to the theory of semiconductors. This software package consists of four modules: theory, problems, simulation experience and an evaluation test. These are useful as a guide for students from the start of their course to the final exam. APR EFIS 1.0 has been used for more than two years by the students in La Laguna University (Spain) and its efficiency is positively evaluated.
