Abstract
Polyaniline thermal doped with dodecylbenzene sulfonic acid was found to form a liquid-crystalline solution in m-cresol, A polarizing optica l microscope and X-ray diffraction measurement were used to study the texture of liquid-crystalline phase, The doped methods had a great eff ect on the solubility of PAN-DBSA in organic solvents and the appearan ce of lyotropic liquid crystal of PAN-DBSA solution, An ordered smecti c structure with a layer spacing of d=3.309 nm can be observed for the thermal doped PAN-DBSA in m-cresol.
