Several forms of the equation describing the radial motion of a spherical b
ubble in a compressible linear viscoelastic liquid are derived. The relativ
e merits of these equations are discussed by using a three-parameter linear
Oldroyd model to describe the non-Newtonian properties of the liquid. (C)
